In May 2022, we officially reached 10 years in business as the North West’s leading recruitment agency. During this time, we have made huge business achievements, met incredible people and paved the way for the recruitment industry.
Square Peg is a specialist employment agency based in Haslingden, Rossendale. We support clients and candidates all around the North West, including Manchester, Blackburn, Bolton and Accrington. To date, we have placed thousands of candidates into employment, matching them to their dream employers. We are proud to have worked with a wide variety of employers in a range of sectors including accountancy, finance, commercial and business.
Let’s go back to where it all began.
Square Peg Associates was established after Suzanne had worked in the recruitment industry for 20 years. Her love for the people and the industry made her strive to achieve more. Come 2012, Square Peg Associates was born.
Suzanne’s vast experience working in both small towns (East Lancashire) and the heart of a thriving city (Manchester) gave her a 360 view of what a recruitment agency should be. Empowering candidates to be confident enough to strive for better and introducing clients to people who can help the business achieve more helped to shape the vision of what Square Peg would be.
This, her love and zest for the industry as well as her skill of truly understanding people created the perfect recipe for what was to be and is Square Peg Associates.
Achievements
We have achieved a huge amount in the ten years that we’ve been established, and we couldn’t be prouder. From business growth to client happiness, we have also been recognised, nominated and crowned winners of notable awards. We have also made conscious efforts to be involved in helping where we can through charity fundraising and other social aspects.
CSR has always been an important element of Square Peg. Over the years we have participated in a large number of events for Charity. From strenuous challenges like the Three Peaks and Pretty Mudder to tastier events such as coffee mornings and afternoon teas in aid of great causes.
During these ten years, we have seen many changes in the recruitment industry and trends in the market. If there are worries or crises, we always try our best to reassure our clients and candidates and help them plan with these things in mind. With Square Peg, you are never alone.

Ten years on, we are still as driven and excited to be even better. We learn something new, meet someone different, and solve a problem (or five) every day.
