Payroll Advisor - Bolton

Our client is a successful practice located in Bolton and they are looking to recruit a Payroll Advisor to join their expanding team, this is an exciting opportunity for the successful individual.
As a Payroll Advisor you will be reporting to a Manager and will have your work reviewed and planned by the manager to ensure work flow through the firm. The ideal candidate will need experience of working with multiple external clients and ideally have worked within a practice. This individual will need minimal supervision and have a good understanding of payroll processes in full. Good communication skills with both clients and team members are essential.

The role
•\tUndertake a range of computerised and manual payroll processing assignments from start to finish on the Star payroll system
•\tTo provide excellent customer service, helping to develop and maintain client relationships and reinforce the premium payroll service we provide
•\tTo actively provide a first point of contact for clients
•\tEffectively manage own time on assignments
•\tProcess Payroll End of Year Returns
•\tDealing with SMP and SSP calculations
•\tHandling P60's and pay slips
•\tChecking pay slips, starter details, sickness, leavers, COD's and maternity calculations
•\tAssisting with the preparation of forms P11D
•\tCreating and updating trackers/checklists
•\tChanging bank and personal details
•\tCreating reports

Experience

•\tPrevious experience of using the Star Payroll System
•\tExperience of working within a payroll team is essential
•\tGood all round administrative skills
•\tAccurate data  entry skills, strong attention to detail
•\tExcellent customer service and communication skills, problem solving skills
•\tAbility to maintain confidentiality
•\tAbility to work as part of a team
•\tGood organisational skills and ability to work to strict deadlines
•\tAbility to prioritise tasks

Hours Monday – Thursday 9am-5pm, Friday 9am-4pm
